UNDERSTANDING HIP PAIN
Regain control of your Hip mobility
ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM HIP PAIN ?

Do you experience hip pain when walking, climbing stairs, sitting down, or getting up from a chair?

Hip pain can make even simple movements feel like a task. It can disturb your sleep, limit your daily routine, and stop you from enjoying activities like walking, driving, exercising, or even just relaxing comfortably.
If you’ve been dealing with these symptoms for a while, and medications or therapy aren’t giving you enough relief, it might be time to consider hip replacement surgery.
Why do I have HIP pain?
The hip joint is formed by the head of the femur and the acetabulum of the pelvis, creating a strong, stable ball-and-socket structure.
It is supported by surrounding soft tissues such as ligaments, muscles, and the joint capsule, making it one of the most stable and weight-bearing joints in the human body.

The smooth cartilage covering the joint surfaces acts as a cushion, reducing friction and allowing effortless movement during everyday activities like walking, sitting, or bending.

During movement, the femoral head rotates smoothly within the acetabulum, enabling a wide range of motion while maintaining stability.

However, the onset of degenerative conditions like arthritis can lead to the breakdown and thinning of cartilage. As this protective layer wears away, the bones begin to rub against each other, resulting in pain, stiffness, and restricted movement.

What is HIP arthritis?

The main cause of hip problems, and consequently hip pain, is the gradual wearing out of the joint cartilage, commonly known as arthritis.

There are several types of arthritis, but the most common ones include:
Osteoarthritis – the most common type.
It occurs when the cartilage that cushions and protects the hip joint gradually wears down due to age, daily use, or stress. As the cartilage deteriorates, movement becomes painful and stiffness increases.

Rheumatoid arthritis – a chronic inflammatory condition and an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system attacks the joint lining. This can lead to pain, swelling, and damage to the hip joint over time.
